Leading by example, Ian served in the United States Army as an Airborne Infantryman where he acquired a passion to help Veterans achieve success. Possessing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration for Executives, Ian is known for running large scale IT projects where technology is integrated to solve business needs. By identifying client’s inefficiencies, Ian excels in providing a streamlined approach to solve clients most complex obstacles. “Iron sharpens iron and constructive critique in a supportive culture is a great way to improve,” states Ian. As a true leader, Ian believes in order for your team to trust where you are taking them that you have to get down in the trenches and be willing to do everything your fellow team members and employees do.

Amerit founder and two-time Purple Heart recipient Gary Herbold used his experience as a combat medic with the 1st Marine Division, U.S. Marine Corps to establish a staffing agency built on core principles of accountability, professionalism, open communication and positive action. In 2017, Gary retired and engaged Ian Wagemann (Service-Disabled Veteran) to continue Amerit’s legacy in the human capital management industry.

For over 30 years, Michael has provided executive leadership based on the principles of transparency, empowerment and community involvement. As a champion of Supplier Diversity causes, Michael has served as a Board Member for Diversity Councils in California, Texas and Colorado. On his down time, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and dogs and loves to teach and mentor whenever the opportunity arises; which is why any employee of Evergent Group would tell you what an exceptional guy he is. Through his hard work and discipline, Michael has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the Staffing Industry by SIA and Most Admired CEO by San Diego Business Journal.
